T-shirt Design in Graphics Communication, by Laura Santana and Elva Rosario

This past week in Graphic Communications we started working on a new project. We have to come up with a design for a t-shirt that we would want to wear. It’s pretty exciting; it is a very good experience for us to do this project. We have to surf the web and find a cool old album cover graphic, or anything that we can come up with on our own that meets the criteria. This is just one of the things that we are working on now, but we have done others projects too, such as notepads, letterhead, business cards, calendars, and resumes, and we have the opportunity to add new ideas and come up with new designs/art pieces to make this project possible. We use programs like Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat, then we print on the Heidelberg machines or copier and we can create and use our imagination to choose colors and design new things everyday. In the future, we might be designing t-shirts that will be used schoolwide for gym uniforms, so stay tuned!
