End the N-word NOW, by Rosa Montes

Jonathan McCoy: an 11 year old making a difference for our generation. He visited our school on Wednesday, March 24th 2010 and spoke to the students. He is an African-American who wants to end the use of the N-word. He knows that everyone , not only young ones, have the ability to leave that word aside and continue without using it. He spends his time going around the United States and has visited about 8 schools now to let the kids know and make them realize the n-word shouldn’t be necessary when speeking to a peer or just anyone. He made a rap and performs it everytime. The chorus is ”relax your lips on the n-word” and it’s so catchy you can still hear students around here singing it. He also believes the young ones doing all the sgg’n are disrespectful and very unecessary. McCoy has made an impact and has created a website for others to visit and sign a petition to end the end the n-word. To visit and sign his petition, go to www.petitionspot.com/petitions/endthenwordnow His speech inspired many students and touched them, it also made them stop using the n-word or limited most of it, including me.
